Chrissy Mae Valentine
Chrissy Mae is a singer-songwriter, actress, and dancer based in Sydney,Australia.
She completed her Bachelor of Music at the Australian International Conservatorium of Music in 2014, while studying acting, part time at the Actors Centre Australia. From 2010-2013 she trained in classical & Musical theatre vocal technique with Patricia Johnson, and furthered her study with Kornelia Perchy. Chrissy Mae has also studied a number of short courses at NIDA open academy, stage combat at the Actor's Action Academy with Kyle Rowling and at the Hub Studio with Benjamin Mathews, Lyn Pearse and Linda Nicholls-Gidley.
She was a trained Ballroom and Latin Dance Instructor at the Arthur Murray School of Dance where she competed and won several, studio and national competitions. She later left this Job to pursue her acting career.
Her debut theatre performance began in 2015 when she was cast as the lead character 'Vanessa' in PMCC's production of 'In The Heights' a broadway musical by Lin Manuel Miranda. She would be later cast in Packemin's Production of 'Miss Saigon' a musical by Claude-Michel Schoenburg.
From 2015-2017 She composed music and was cast as one the host for the show 'Preschool Play' which was produced in Canada and the Philippines. On the show she worked with Directors Jonathen Geraghty (Director of Hi-5) and Craig Lines (double BAFTA award winning Director).
In 2017 Chrissy Mae was cast as the lead in the short film titled 'The Melody' by Demitri Fields, which was selected to be previewed at the NYC hip-hop film festival.
Chrissy later launched her production house ‘Loft Bed Studios’ after receiving an art grant from Blacktown Arts Council to help begin production of her web-series musical “Hustle Street”.
In 2018 Loft Bed Studios launched the 5 part web-series "How to Write Your Soul" written by and starring Chrissy Mae as the lead character. The music in the series is also written by Chrissy Mae alongside Jerome Reinoso.
Chrissy intends to continue working on her web-series musical "Hustle Street" and continue to release other short films with Loft Bed Studios.
